 patches:The Grand Rapids Public Library has a killer collection of Criterion Collection DVDs. Many are discontinued. All are incredible. http://www.grpl.org/catalog.html search for "Criterion" Big results. And they are all free to card holders. Does your library have the same?
When I lived in Grand Rapids, I'd go to the main library once a week to pick up another stack of movies. It used to be you could take out a TON at a time. I think the number started dropping before I moved to Chicago two years ago. I never got through all of them. But the best thing was that you could go online and reserve certain movies, even ones that were at different braches. And they'd have them all waiting for you at the main branch under your name when you'd come in.
