Yes We Can...Recommend A Good Film
True to the name, I'm a big Wes Anderson fan. The quirkiness, originality, attention to detail (memorable characters, writing, production design, and cinematography), and overall sense of fun that define his films are what make a film "good" to me.
I like a lot of films. The ones I see have to pass a certain level of critical acclain/media hype/personal hype for me to check them out, and 95% of the time I like what I see. Of the sour 5%, even if the writing or acting is bad, there's almost always enough imagination or intrigue to get me through the entire show.
By day, I'm a librarian. I manage a small branch in the far corner of Western North Carolina. By night, I read, write, play sports, cook, generally play house (getting married Dec. 6), and watch films. My interests are wide and my tastes refined, but I'm not exactly a film snob...unless being so makes room for the occasional guilty pleasure.
I'll be glad to recommend a film for you. Let me know what kind of film or specific films that you like OR what kind of film you'd like to see, and I'll do my best to pick out a top selection. Also, if you have questions about watching something, I'll provide quality control and tell you if you should add or subtract the title from your Netflix queue. Then, from your thoughts on that selection, I'll be able to more accurately tailor my choices to your specific tastes. While you grow as a viewer, I'll grow as your personal film assistant. Sound good?
To see specifics on my taste, check out my profile and these lists: My Favorite Films and, even more prestigious, Films That Made Me Want To Be A Filmmaker. I hope to help you with your filmwatching needs for years to come.

Did you notice Bill Murray is in the upcoming City of Ember? That makes me want to learn more.
It would totally be off my radar if not for Murray. His casting even got me to read the first few chapters of the YA book on which it is based, and the "Giver"-esque premise is enough to get me in the theatre (if it comes out to my hillbilly district).
