True/False Documentary
True/False website
Indiewire article about showings at IFC center
The True/False Festival (a festival for docs) seemed to pop up out of nowhere this year and is quickly becoming the place to be for documentary filmmaking. I really want to go next year.

Re: True/False Documentary
It's a surprisingly good festival. It takes place within a good time frame to Sundance and regularly gets one or two surprisingly prominent headliners. What I've found most interesting is that regardless of the location they still pull in some fantastic filmmakers.

Re: True/False Documentary
I used to attend this when I went to college in the town of Columbia, Missouri. It is a very impressive festival, and I am assuming it is still at the top of its game. It seemed like for almost every film shown, the directors were present for a Q and A afterwards. It offers everything from advance screenings of Sundance favs to smalltime, overlooked gems by grassroot filmmakers. I cannot promote this one enough.
