Group Owners (1)

Description: This group is for those who like to ask "what if...?" I.e., what if Pulp Fiction had been released in 1975? If The Matrix we've seen were a remake, what would the original be like? Beware the swaddling-clothèd orangutan, he's on the loose. You can read about him in the "Lil Sap & Leslie Nielsen" entry of the "Movies Thrown Into the Past" discussion.

SkyPilot Questionnaire (1)

If you were the person you are today at age one, what would have been your first spoken word?

What, if anything, do you value more than consistency?

What famous painting is most likely a portrait of you?

What cinematic landscape do you live in?

It is said of you:

What is the color of your voice?

What is the origin of your Spout moniker?

What is your alter ego's favorite drink?

What are the traits of your hero?

You understand these languages intuitively:

What would your robots accomplish?

What is your favorite onomatopoeia?

To which animal do you feel the strongest kinship?

What is your favorite mythical monster?

Which objects would you substitute for currency?

Who or what is the embodiment of good taste?

To whom belongs the future?

Little do most people know, . . .

What is a sentence you've never said out loud, and probably never will?

What question are you not asked often enough?

What, if anything, do you value more than consistency?

It is said of you:

What is the color of your voice?

whiney fucia

What is the origin of your Spout moniker?

In the 1970s my dad wrote poetry, he also founded an imaginary thing called The Porcupine School of Poetry, which stood for some ideas that I have a hard time remembering now. I liked the name, so that's what I called my blog. I also like controlled nonsense, which is why I picked that name despite the fact that the blog has nothing to do with porcupines or poetry. So that's how I got my Spout moniker.

What is your alter ego's favorite drink?

white russian, and his name is Dave

What would your robots accomplish?

while porcupine would be the obvious answer, that would imply that i hurt anyone who tries to get close to me. i'll go with a chimp riding a really big eagle.

What is your favorite mythical monster?

when i read this question i realized that while a spend a lot of time making up my own mythical monsters, and pretending to battle them, i don't know all that much about the cannonical monsters of greco-roman mythology. so i guess i'll go with a magical chimp riding a magical eagle.

Which objects would you substitute for currency?

cattle, and/or sons (this really works in some places!)

Who or what is the embodiment of good taste?

i have no idea, i guess i don't think much about "taste"

To whom belongs the future?

our grandchildren, i think our children would just mess it up.

Little do most people know, . . .

i think cinema is a dead medium (sshhh, don't tell)

What is a sentence you've never said out loud, and probably never will?

hey, adam, what does this have to do with Pulp Fiction 1975?

What question are you not asked often enough?

would you like the sun to stay out a little longer today?

What cinematic landscape do you live in?

Don't know if id live in it but id visit the various landscapes in "What Dreams May Come" especially the sea of hands and the flower field made of paint.  I'd live in a cross between the imaginary world in Mirrormask and the version of new midgar/tokyo in FF: Advent Children.

Good question, i don't know. different things by different people i would imagine.

What is the color of your voice?

People who can think for themselves. Though i know that's plural, and even if i find something distasteful, if it's supported by some sort of individual thinking, i'll still respect it.

To whom belongs the future?

Itd be obvious to say younger generations, but *** that. If it does not belong to us why are we living?

Little do most people know, . . .

I am obsessed with the concept of emotion.

What is a sentence you've never said out loud, and probably never will?

Five years back i was in Calcutta swinging a golf club over my head in  thunderstorm waiting for the ice cube trays on my hotel balcony to do what they do the best, you know, catch water.

Hey man, last thing i even know about your girl is she stabbed me in the head with a fucking plastic spoon, that not so much punctured my skin as cut little indentations in my forehead; ask me about her again and ill staple your balls to the wall with a  Swingline.

Hey honey, im gonna go tuck the kids in real quick and grab a couple cocktails with Christ.

What question are you not asked often enough?

What?

For some of the off-the-wall things that i'll say i very rarely get a dumbfounded look followed by a pause then a realization that confusion has set in.

"What?"
