I am very happy this was picked, I have heard about this film and I am pretty close to the whole Skinhead, ska, punk world. Used to be big into the music in highschool. Cant wait to see this represented. Thanks for choosing this.

Re:July 2, This is England
I liked it.
The characters were built up well, the acting was good, and the story line and tempo seemed smooth. I wasn't pushed out of the story line at any point becaase of bad acting or a poorly written line.
I would definately suggest this to someone who likes the genre.

Re:July 2, This is England
Yeah, this was definitely up my alley as well - and I thoroughly enjoyed this pick. I thought the character development was intriguing, and I found the main character, Shaun, very likable.
A wonderful portrayal of innocence, and how negative influences can prey upon it. I found myself engulfed in the story throughout, and having genuine emotion towards the characters within. While a tad predictable at times, I still found myself getting wrapped into the building tension throughout.
I'd certainly watch it again.

Re:July 2, This is England
I felt that many a character in this film, at times, showed their weakness. This film does a great job in showing how those that feel as though they are outsiders often join together and create a "family" that keeps them standing firm. But also how such a "family" can be torn by the influence of something that makes them feel empowered beyond just the "family".
I loved the way this film pulls the viewer through the process of the main character finding his place, only to have that comfort broken by a angry and manic individual. This has been one of my favorite films this year, and I think its because of the connection I felt with shawn, the main character, and how he is searching for that group or figure that will make him feel like he is worth something, like he is accepted. Yet, in that innocence he blindly follows a leader that is not looking out for what is best for him.
