I F*cking Hate You
I was browsing the FHTA site, and stubmled across "I F*cking Hate You."
In the submission vide, actor John T. Woods describes the film as "the story of a guy that's so much in love with a girl that he has no idea how to explain it to her." I'm not sure how this dynamic plays out in the film, but the description of Ron's relationsihp dilemmma harkens back to the way adolescent males approach members of the opposite sex, beginning in kindergarten (hit her, she has 'cooties,' etc). If men in their 20s can't properly express their emotions and substitute the adult relationship talks with silly gimmicks, then that's a problem. Some 40% of twenty-somethings came from broken homes, while most came from families in which both parents worked, perhaps stunting the type of emotional growth that young people need. Maybe I'm reading too much into the preview, but hey - it got me talking.
Description: A raw, compelling glimpse into a young man's charmingly ill-conceived scheme to redeem himself in the eyes of his ex-girlfriend. Ron (John T. Woods in a breakout performance) lures Carol (played by the charming and beautiful Marion Kerr) back to his apartment under the pretense that he is going to return her favorite mug. When it seems this will be their last moment together, Ron desperately maneuvers to strike a chord with her in his own uniquely heartfelt way. Ain't It Cool News has hailed it as "Brilliant" and Rogue Cinema praised the film as "A Beautiful Little Movie...Funny and Touching"

Re:I F*cking Hate You
lopez,
thanks for starting this thread. i really dig your insights into the preview and the fact that it has you thinking on such an amazing level, really made an impression on me. if you have any questions, i'd love to answer them. the two actors, John T. Woods and Marion Kerr, are here too and can share their thoughts as well.
in fact , now that it's available for viewing, i'd love to hear what kind of reaction you have to the film itself.
always,
