In Need of Translation of Blimey
Pardon me for being an American (Curse my scummy rebel hide!), but is the "whack" in the title the synonym of "murder" or the other type of 'off'-ing?

Whack in this case refers to murder...wank refers to the other type of 'off'-ing!
Sorry....I'm not even British...just love alliteration.

I know i'm very "late" getting here..but "Blimey" is a cockney ,or general "London" reduction of the phrase "God Blight Me!" .so it's "Gor (or "Cor") Blimey "..reduced to "'...'Blimey!!"..as a general exclaimation . This would have been quite strong ,"back then"..in "Edwardian/Dickensian" time because it is essentially "Blasphemous" ..Modern equivalent i suppose is .."fuckin 'ell"..or "**** me" ...and that's without any real sexual connotation..I really like "The Kommune"..i must try to put something funny together for it...cheers Chris M
