The good then bad and quite ugly double feature...
start with a movie of an actor or director that is fantastic and then follow it up with a real clunker...Jim Carrey's Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind followed by the Number 23. or Scorsese's Goodfellas followed by Bringing Out the Dead.

Re:The good then bad and quite ugly double feature...
Being a bit of a classic movie buff, I'll throw in a Humphrey Bogart double feature: The African Queen, the classic he did with Huston and Hepburn followed by Sirocco, which he sacrifices himself for no good reason to the sadistic Lee J. Cobb character. Sirocco also must be remembered as the last Santana Productions release. That was Bogart's independent production venture and it was the stinker that ended that.

I actually think that Bringing out the Dead is just as good as Goodfellas. I also believe that Scorcese works best from a Paul Schrader script.

Include most sequels (in which the movie's only made because the title will sell, like BATMAN or STAR WARS)

Ouch. I can't agree. I'm willing to chalk it up to the Nicolas Cage factor...

I liked Rocky Balboa (Rocky 6). 75% on the tomato meter and 7.5 imdb, so I wasn't alone. For a guy 61 years old, he was pretty ripped. Lot of HGH and work done, but he made me believe.

Ben Kingsley is Ghandi (the only movie I ever saw that had an intermission) and then in Bloodrayne or Last Legion.
