Re: masters of horror fans
I just recently watched "Black Cat" which had a great "axe-to-the-head" scene, but otherwise was not my favorite. I really enjoyed John Landis' "Deer Woman". It was hilarious! I also really liked Dario Argento's "Jennifer". Very creepy make-up and the story was pretty original. I hated "Sick Girl", by Lucky McKee, and I didn't care much for "Chocolate" either. My favorite is "Imprint" by Takashi Miike. Truely horrorific and difficult to watch at times. I loved it!! "Incident on and off a Mountain Road" was pretty good. The ending was a bit much. "Pick Me Up" was a good story and I enjoyed the acting. "Right to Die" was pretty lame, but seemed timely. I also really liked the one with Robert Englund that was based on a Richard Matheson story, but the name escapes me at the moment. "Family" is next on my Netflix queue.

Re: masters of horror fans
thanks for letting me know your faves and not so faves masters!! i will put "imprint " (#4)next to "pelts" in my queue.Jenifer(it seems to be the most popular in spout) is next on my queue cause somebody else recommended that too. Deer woman ,i will probably rent it instore on my next movie exchange. It probably is great ,like you said because it is directed by j.landis ,just like "family". Everyone in my household and their friends that saw "family" liked it,so i hope you like just as much me,my friends and family liked it. "I also really liked the one with Robert Englund that was based on a Richard Matheson story, but the name escapes me at the moment. " That is "dance of the dead" (2005). i will put that up on my queue right after "imprint"

Re: masters of horror fans
just saw deer woman last night and i thought the flick was so-so;the ending was not that cool for me and there was some cheesy effects on the movie;I thought the deer woman was a very beautiful lady minus the bottom part ofcourse(feet/hooves);The story was not too bad;i liked the case story with the bit of background mix of an indian legend.Guess, i tend to like stories that deal about fable/tales/legends.Would give this master story 3 out of 5 stars also sick girl;i seemed to have liked this better than deer woman; In general,i like the story and the ending was o.k.Would give this master flick 3 1/2 out of 5 stars;(theres no half stars in spout ,so i officially gave it a 4 although it really feels more like a 3 1/2)

Re: masters of horror fans
just saw pelts just moments ago and it is definitely the most sickest and grossest masters of horror flick i have seen so far;the story is not the most original but good enough; The ending though, kept me hanging ;the ending made me feel like there was going to be a sequel to the show but there isn't; would give this master a 3 1/2 to 4 stars out of 5; I liked the flick pretty much for its disturbing, sick and gross factor

"My favorite is "Imprint" by Takashi Miike. Truely horrorific and difficult to watch at times. I loved it!!" Just finished watching imprint moments ago and it is definitely the most disturbing story of all the masters of horror i have seen. One such scene is the many steps of komonos torture,it was intrigueingly disturbing; It is the 2nd grossest next to "pelts".The story is o.k.,a little chatty, acting was so-so and the fetuses looked fake, like tiny-bloody naked dolls with umbilical cords:Would give this one 3 1/2 out of 5 stars Imprint reminded me of another film takashi directed called "box" mixed with "dumplings" directed by fruit chan ; short stories from the Three... Extremes (2004) series(foreign)
