Welcome to this Group and Movie Requests!

I like this Spout place and I hope to expand this group as time goes on...and if we get more members!

This place is hard to describe. This group is about the odd and the bizzare. It is not about the action or the drama. Neither a Romantic Comedy or a Techno Thriller, these films are everything and nothing. They make us think, they make us question, and most of all they make us look at life like a self-reflecting mirror.

If anyone would like me to add more films that they think fit such description then please let me know!

Also, if anyone would like to join to talk about there Philisophical ponderings on Life and Film, please do so. This is what the group was for!

Enjoy Your Stay,

Hi! El_Aaron here! This is the perfect group for me, cause odd and bizzare is my thing! So is Life and Film philosophy. If you want to see one hell of a weird, but great film, watch David Lynch's Eraserhead! It is so weird! Also, I think the beginning of 2001: A Space Odyssey is so like life because it shows that in the beginning of the human race we were so harmless towards other animals. Then, we found a substance that turned us into cold-blooded killers! In the film, the substance was a stone wall thingy, but in life it is fuels and industrial stuff that is killing the planet!

Nice, I think this group has the potential to elicit some of the best movie lists.

Definitely agree that this loose category has some of the best films.

Science of Sleep; A Scanner Darkly?

I'm confused.  Didn't you tell us to mention films we thought fit the description of this group?  I like both films, and both seem to fit under this category.

 Or not?

I've not seen "The Science of Sleep," but "A Scanner Darkly" should fit right in.

Re: Welcome to this Group and Movie Requests!

I try to aim for Higher Thought but really just talk about these movies and other moves you think fit the mold.

That is the one thing I am dissapointed of in this group, lack of talk. :(
