Rosie O'Donnell

Person:  Rosie , Greatest Work:  ? A League of Their Own, Gossip:  I have read many recent blogs about Rosie and her past yearish endeavors.  Not only has she become either the most loved or hated person on tv daytime but also has become a blessing for ratings.  Boy it seems everyone has an opinion aobut her.  She has drawn out the Plus Size spokespeople and The Apprentice followers.  She has angered the conservatives and Republicans as well as  bonded with the Cindy Sheehans of the world.  These discussion boards are at times entertaining because people's opinions are so fierce you can see the smoke puffing from their exhausted computer keyboards.  Her last public show is no exception.  Her arguement with Elizabeth H from the view really turned people to the debate boards.  It seems for the figurative end of their friendship to be so heated that their must have been a smoldering ember for quite some time. Does anyone know what Rosie's last big sceen appearance was?  Maybe she makes more money this way.

Re: Rosie O'Donnell

Ongoing Rosie saga...... just when you thought Rosie and Donald had went their separate ways: source the insider-

DONALD TRUMP has ramped up his war of words with former "View" co-host ROSIE O'DONNELL, telling "The Insider" tonight that she should "be ashamed of herself" for posting a photo on her Web site of her daughter wearing a toy ammunition belt.

"Rosie always talks about gun control, and then she shows her daughter wearing bullets all over," The Donald tells us. "I think Rosie O'Donnell is a disgrace and she should be ashamed of herself."

Accompanied by wife MELANIA, Donald arrived at tonight's Qatar Airways Gala in NYC to celebrate the airline's inaugural flight to the Big Apple, which also hosted celebs like DIANA ROSS, JULIANNE MOORE, CHLOE SEVIGNY of "Big Love" and GAYLE KING.

Rosie had posted a photo of her young daughter on her Web site this week, in which the young girl sported a toy ammunition belt, as a critical commentary on the war in Iraq and the U.S.' foreign policy.

"I think that's a disgusting picture," The Donald said of the photo. He went on to comment on Rosie's future endeavors, saying, "Ultimately she'll fail, because ultimately she always fails."

Boy, I am lacking about positive things to say lately.  I will refrain from any political siding here.....but I absolutely despise people who use their children for such political statements.  I think that children are little sponges that need to know what is going on to a certain extent but please don't make little ones hold up their parents political signs.  Come on Rosie, I used to respect you for making laughter out of almost any topic.

so what is that hand sign her daughter is making, with the two fingers up and one out to the side?

I have no idea.   Poor kid/kids.  I think Rosie is also cruising for a meltdown, unless in the past years she has just been a closet pleasant person.

Re: Rosie O'Donnell

I was talking yesterday to Tara, the daughter of a friend of mine, who's a graduate student at Berkeley. She went to the True Colors concert at the Greek Theatre Friday night and got to meet and talk to Rosie O'Donnell afterwards. Her main impression was that Rosie was a little scary. She (Rosie) was amped up after her standup and sitting in on drums for Cyndi Lauper, and sweaty, and just putting a lot of energy out there. Tara is not very big and she said that she was just sort of overwhelmed to be face to face with her.

I can't imagine the conversation was toned down in that setting let alone any conversation of Rosie's in recent months.

How did she score the meet and greet?

She's a political-science major and she's working on somebody's campaign that Rosie is supporting.
