Pierce Brosnan
Person: Pierce Brosnan, Greatest Work: The Bond Films (pick one), Gossip: I really don't want to bring all negative posts to this group, so here is a positive. It has been relatively under the radar in the press. It has been reported that he and his wife have donated 100,000 dollars to a Kauai school playground (where they apparantly own a home) that needed repair. He is off working on a musical in London currently. He and his wife also have been proactive in projects benefitting the environment and children in California. Congrats Brosnan's!!

Re: Pierce Brosnan
I was delighted when Brosnan retired from the Bond franchise. I didn't like him in the role for the same reason I didn't like Roger Moore: too nice to be Bond. But I liked him fine in Dante's Peak, saving the little dog from spreading lava (or maybe he wasn't the one who saved the dog, but he was there). Liked him in The Tailor of Panama and thought he took some real risks in The Matador. And being a lover of cowboy movies, I'm looking forward to watching Seraphim Falls. Re: Pierce Brosnan
Of course I have ALWAYS had a thing for him since his Remington Steele days. He always kind of reminded me of a Cary Grant type of actor, could be comical, dramatic and very sexy all at the same time. One of my favorite movies that he was in was The Thomas Crown Affair, I also loved him as the scientist in Mars Attacks and he was good in Dante's Peak too. He is a very versatile and handsome actor.

Re: Pierce Brosnan
i guess you truly like peirce almost from the beginning of his popularity, remington steele; He is a very versatile and handsome actor . your right about that ;I myself started liking him for a lot of his movies starting with (1989), Live Wire (1992) which i just saw a few mths.ago; He has many roles like the heist that i like:The Thomas Crown Affair (1999), The Tailor of Panama (2001) The Matador (2005) and then there are roles where he plays the other guy love interest that the girl is not into anymore,ex,the other suitor but not the main squeeze: Mrs. Doubtfire (1993)the first movie i saw him that i really took notice of him,his breakthrough role for me(maybe ,cause, the movie was generally pretty funny), Love Affair (1994)love this movie, The Mirror Has Two Faces (1996)love this movie too!! ;i am a sucker for the romantics Robinson Crusoe (1997)castaway meets and befriends a native;pretty good underrated movie Evelyn (2002)him as a father, trying to get custody of his child through the irish catholic school system;such a sad movie Laws of Attraction (2004) him buffing heads with another headstrong lawyer with opposing views and representing the opposite of his client(yet at the same time his falling in love with the opposing party);reminds me of 2 other movies, How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days (2003), and How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days (2003) and ofcourse a james bond movie:Die Another Day (2002)i liked this bond the most, maybe its alittle more recent,he starts not too cool looking and then gets all dollied up, he doesn't play with too much women and the women(halle berry ) are just as strong and capable as him sorry about the extra white space in these message;i do not know how to take it out

Re: Pierce Brosnan
Watched Seraphim Falls the other night. Liked it a lot. Brosnan earned his money in this one. Swimming in icy river, running and falling in snow, trudging across desert, etc., etc.
When I lived in New Mexico, where most of this was filmed, we ran into movie crews from time to time. They'd stop traffic so that there wouldn't be cars moving in the distance on a shot. We were approached in restaurants in Santa Fe by agents and producers asking us if we were on the such-and-such project. Occasionally we'd say yes, just to hear their pitch. Don't know what it was about us that made them think we were filming; maybe we just looked tired.
Brosnan is charming on the Seraphim Falls commentary track. *******************************************************************************************************************************
Pierce and Angelina together in The Topkapi Affair. What kind of onscreen chemistry will they have as a couple? (He's 22 years older than her, but this is Hollywood.)

Re: Pierce Brosnan
You mean about the Topkapi movie? Brosnan signed up for it quite a while ago. It's a sequel to the Thomas Crown Affair, I think. Anyway, an Ambler heist movie. But they needed a female star. So the latest gossip is that Angelina is going to take the part. Actually, the gossip is about the bedroom scene. But according to my neice's husband, nothings been signed yet. Or at least not when I talked to him.
