Good Omens
This book has been optioned forever and at this point almost seems unlikely to ever happen. At one point the leads (the angel Aziraphale & the demon Crowley) were supposedly going to be Joseph Fiennes and Christopher Lambert (in which order, I'm not sure)... then it was Robin Williams and Johnny Depp (again, don't know who would've been who)... now it seems like it's no one in particular. So I guess it's up to us, right? By the way, if you haven't read this book you really should. Think Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy + The Omen.
