Happy Retirement Sam, Welcome Matty
Pretty straightforward, for fellow listeners who haven't heard yet. Sam Van Hallgren is retiring from his regular Filmspotting gig. Matty Ballgame will take his place in two weeks. I wish to collect listeners feelings and thoughts, start a discussion. I just want to thank Sam and welcome Matty

I just wanted to say thanks to everyone who has posted or written in so far. Certainly everyone is sad to see Sam go, including myself... but the feedback so far has been incredibly positive and encouraging.

Sam, you will be missed. Your show works so well not only because it is two inteligent people sharing thier views on movies, it is because you both don't always agree on the pictures, but you both have a respect for the others persons opnions. You are rarely condesinding towards each other. I am cautiously optimistic that this format will continue is Sam's absence. Good bye Sam, welcome Yoko...i mean Matty.

Matty and I won't condescend to each other. We're friends who respect each other just like Sam and I are.

Hi guys, I've been listening to the show since your Cinecast days; you've never heard from me before, and you probably never will again, but I just wanted to say a big thanks to Sam for his fantastic contribution to making Filmspotting the great show it is. awww i just heard, i'm gonna miss Sam, his on-air personility is so warm, my heart is breaking at the thought of not hearing him for awhile, good luck with everything Sam, can't wait to hear you on again, and yes welcome to Matty he is doing an awesome job, much love and respect to all the filmspotting team, all the best wishes <3
