Have you ever seen the movie Impromptu?  It's about Chopin and his relationship with George Sond (I don't think I spelled her name right).  She was a poet and a writer and changed her name to George so people would think she was a man (since women were not accepted as writers back then).  Anyway, it's a very good art film and I think it's probably one of Hugh Grant's first movies.  Julian Sands is also in it (sigh, I love watching him) and Bernadette Peters (she is very good being a little evil in this movie).

The only one I've seen of those is Shakespeare in Love.  Do any of these apply?

Where the Buffalo Roam (Hunter S. Thompson)

Naked Lunch (William S. Burroughs)

Finding Neverland (J. M. Barrie)

Crumb (R. Crumb)

Mishima: A Life in Four Chapters (Yukio Mishima)

Isn't there a movie about Lewis Carroll??  I seem to remember reading about this.
