GORE is where you find it...

For all of you TRUE GOREHOUNDS out there, I would recomend the following...

Zombie (1979) - Details - Spout ... ( ...excuse me, Miss, you have something in your EYE... )

   Cannibal Ferox (1981) - Details - Spout

   Cannibal Holocaust (1979) - Details - Spout

Dawn of the Dead (1978) - Details - Spout

Day of the Dead (1985) - Details - Spout

And try watching  Re-Animator (1985) - Details - Spout  one more time... by about the 5th or 6th viewing it will occur to you that they don't get much better than this...                                                                                                        <   GOR   >

Re: GORE is where you find it...

There are SEVERAL 'non-horror' titles which contain some EXCELLENT 'GORE-SCENES'...  I have talked about this with 'Phantasma-gore-ia' in the past...   among these are :

Marked for Death (1990) - Details - Spout

Out for Justice (1991) - Details - Spout

   Bloodsport (1986) - Details - Spout

Fists of Fury (1971) - Details - Spout

   The Cowboys (1972) - Details - Spout

   The Godfather (1972) - Details - Spout

   Deliverance (1972) - Details - Spout

And, of course,  The Wild Bunch (1969) - Details - Spout ... which is even listed in John McCarty's book 'Splatter Movies'...

Re: GORE is where you find it...

Of these I've seen the two Segal flicks and The Godfather, which is on my you-know-what.  The horse head scene was gruesome as can possibly be and here's a factoid which will polarise the grossness: it was real.  The head was from an actual horse and was procured from a glue factory.  The blood was likely synthetic, but the head was the real deal.  ;)
