A Movie You Wouldn't Watch Again

Okay, we've discussed our most disturbing scenes BUT is there a scary movie you have seen once and have decided you are NEVER going to watch it again?  Maybe it was too disturbing or gory, maybe the acting was HORRIBLE, maybe it was BORING, maybe when it was over you felt like you just wasted 2 hours of your life...

Re: A Movie You Wouldn't Watch Again

There really aren't a lot of horror movies that I wouldn't see again.  I like watching a lot of them over and over.  Now I can probably name quite a few chick flicks and drama's that I wouldn't watch again...

There is one movie that stands out and I'm sure I will think of a lot more in the future, but has anyone seen Salem's Lot II?  I don't know why they ever thought they could make a sequel to Salem's Lot but It is one of the worst movies ever, the acting is bad, the editing is bad and I think this was Tara Reid's first movie (I might have got her mixed up with someone else) when she was a little girl.  Anyway, I thought it was really bad and I probably won't go out of my way to watch that one again.

Re: A Movie You Wouldn't Watch Again

I have seen a lot of bad movies.  And some of them I wish I would not have seen and will never watch again.  Here are a few:

Pin:  This movie is whacked out beyond compare.  There is incest and weirdness...I haven't even finished watching it because it's so disturbing.

The Amittyville Horror II (not sure of the name but I know it's the second one):  Again with the incest.  Coupled with demons...not a good mix.

Cradle of Fear:  Didn't finish this one either because mainly I hate Cradle of Filth (although Danny Filth is HOT).  Otherwise, it was just stupid.

Flesh for the Beast:  I watched this little "gem" after I bought it at Wal-Mart for like five bucks.  It's basically a porn with bad lighting and acting and plot.

Waxwork:  Don't be deceived by the wicked cover art!  This movie will make you want to kick yourself in the face for watching it!  You are warned.

So there's a little list of my movies I wouldn't watch again.  Now that I've written them down, I'm haunted by the memories of wasted hours watching them.  *shudder*  Oh well.  It was fun talking about them anyway.

You know, you are right.  Even if they are really, really bad, I would still watch it if nothing else was on.  I would probably watch Salem's Lot II again just because I got such a good laugh about it.   Now something like Schindler's List (which is probably one of the best movies ever) was so heartbreaking and tragic that I can't watch it again.  I am glad that I saw it but I don't think I could watch it again without being horribly depressed.  Another one is a film called Iris with Judy Dench and Kate Winslet, I cried for 20 minutes AFTER the movie was over (and I NEVER cry at movies unless a dog or cat gets killed), I will NEVER watch that one again.  If they are really intense powerful movies that leave me drained, once every 10 to 20 years is enough because they are ingrained in my head and heart.

But something about scary movies, even bad cheesy movies, I have no problem watching again, and most comedies.  Now I probably wouldn't go OUT OF my way and watch Amityville Horror II - that was pretty lame.  You know I think I actually liked the third Amityville, was that the one where the girl drowned and her mother saw her walking in the house?  Wasn't that also the one that was suppose to be in 3-D?  Now, Jaws III was another one I wouldn't go out of my way to watch (of course if it was on late at night I would probably just veg out and have a good laugh).  I'm watching Howling II Your Sister is a Werewolf right now, I forgot how cheesey this movie was with all the bad effects, it is so funny.  But yes, I think I would watch it again and again.

I wonder why you liked it so much, would it happen to be the ending when they keep showing her tearing off her top about 50 times when the credits are rolling..hee hee...that was so hilarious.   My favorite part with Christopher Lee is when he is in the Dance Club and this woman puts the Devo Glasses on him so that he can fit in.  That was so funny and so out of character for him, I just loved it.  I also loved it when they redid Karen White's news broadcast and that werewolf looked like a gorilla instead of a wolfe.  Also, why didn't they have a blond play Karen White instead of a brunette?  The ending was really cute too.   I also watched the Howling late last night when I got home.  It has been years since I've seen either of them, I can't believe I never added them to my collection.   Dee Wallace did such a good job in that movie, I loved the parts with Eddie, he was so creepy.  It was a good flashback.  Anyway, I think I'll have a hamburger....rare...

Yes, I must admit, Sybil Dannings breasts were quite magnificent!   The little 'werewolf-orgy' scene was indeed one of the high points of this movie.   This was obviously a rip-off of the scene in the original where Karen's husband and 'Marsha-The-Maneater' begin to transform while having a 'tryst' in the woods.

Favorite line:  "Look. It's a 'Lovers-Moon'! Suddenly I feel... hungry!"

Re: A Movie You Wouldn't Watch Again

Oh, I had also watched Tombs of the Blind Dead that other night too.  Okay it was a little cheesey in a LOT of parts but actually for 1973 the cinematography was really great.  The scenary, the setting of the scenes, I had to laugh when the skeletal hand kept coming out of the grave and when they would do a closeup of the zombiemonks the organ music would get really loud and try to scare you.  Even for it being dubbed, the acting was pretty good, especially the first girl that was killed, (not the naked one hanging from the post, but the "modern" day girl).  She looked and acted very terrified.  I actually really liked it and think (you know I should have posted this under the Italian Horror) anyway, I am so glad you explained to me why they look like they are talking in English and the voices sound dubbed.  It makes sense now.  Anyway, I am going to have to add this movie to my collection.

Poltergeist 2-  I am glad I watched it once, but really useless in my opinion.
