How About your Favorite FUNNY-Scary Movies
I know we've talked about movies that scare us...but what about movies that scare us AND make us laugh, like: Shaun of the Dead, Fright Night, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Dead and Breakfast, Creepshow, Shadow of the Vampire, Motel Hell... What are some of your favorites?

Re: How About your Favorite FUNNY-Scary Movies
Oh I loved Return of the Living Dead!! I have to say that was HILARIOUS, the half dog barking, the little body parts in bags where they say they are Rabid Weasels (or something like that), the skeleton rising out of the grave as Do you Want to Party is blasted...just such a fun movie.

Believe it or not, I just saw "Plan 9 From Outer Space" for the first time! I loved it! Bela Lugosi, Vampira, Tor Johnson...space aliens reanimating corpses...the cheesiest dialogue ever written...what a hoot!

Ed Wood movies are the best for cheesey and fun, the sad thing is that he tried to make it a serious movie.

Re: How About your Favorite FUNNY-Scary Movies
Edward D. Wood Jr. is among my top 5 favorite directors of all time! his work was PHENOMENAL... there is no other word to describe it!.... "Plan 9..." is NOT the 'worst' movie ever made! Try watching "Mesa Of Lost Women" or "Mill Of The Stone Women" sometime! Has anyone seen "Ed Wood" ? Johnny Depp is perhaps THE consumate actor of our time! AND, that is a fairly accurate depiction of this 'rogue' director...

Re: How About your Favorite FUNNY-Scary Movies
Yes, it was after I saw the movie with Johnny Depp as Ed Wood that I went out and wanted to watch all of Ed Woods movies. I loved Bride of the Monster with Bela Lugosi, Glen or Glenda, Night of the Ghouls, I will have to watch Mesa of Lost Women and Mill of the Stone Women...they sound like they are fun too. Plan 9 is such a cult classic now. He was such an interesting character himself.

Yep, I saw Ed Wood, too. Excellent movie! I don't know if it's really sad that Ed Wood tried to make serious films...as long as his work is enjoyed and appreciated by people, on whatever level, he succeeded!

Re: How About your Favorite FUNNY-Scary Movies
Besides Evil Dead, another Sam Raimi horrorish comedy that is fantastic is Crimewave. I know it got bad ratings, but anything with the Coen brothers helping out with writing is ususually pretty great. Another one of my favorite Horror / Comedies is Ravenous. Has anyone else seen this? It's one of my absolute favorites. The music is pretty great too. A couple others: From Dusk Till Dawn American Psycho (maybe I'm sick, but I find many parts histerical) Arachnophobia (John Goodman) Bad Taste
