Ed Gein jumped to my mind at first! Because Gein inspired a slew of Creepy, serial killing nutballs, that are some of the biggest icons in Horror over the years! But in the past I have to say Vladislav Dracula or simply Dracula.

I'm not really not sure if this would qualify as a horror movie, but The Monster in No Such Thing for sure!

Otherwise either Jack Torrence in The Shining, Raymond Lemorne in The Vanishing, or the truck in Duel.

Wow, Rizzo.   I had never heard of that movie before but it looks pretty freaking cool!   I have added it to my list of 'must-see' movies!   Thank you very much!   Is there any nudity?

I thought long and hard before naming Dracula my favorite horror movie character.   I thought about Freddy and Quasimodo and Regan (from  The Exorcist) and Lt. Kinderman ( from  The Exorcist ...Lee J. Cobb giving the performance of his career) and Rhodes (from  Dawn Of The Dead) and Quint (from  JAWS) ...   Dracula is the coolest (if not the smartest) horror movie icon of all time.   He has appeared in more movies than anyone else and his sense of style and his passion for the young ladies and his supernatural abilities are second to none.   Dracula IS the King.

Clearly the gingerbread cookie (voiced by Gary Busey), star of The Gingerdead Man, is the correct answer.

Well, either that or Ella in Monkey Shines, played by Boo the monkey.

How About lead murderer in Last House on the Left (2008), "Krug". Also Last house on the left was Wes Cravens first horror movie. Krug was the inspiration behind another well know horror icon, "Freddy Kruger".

Ooooh, I'm quite interested what you will think of it.  Like I said, I'm not sure if I would even classify it as a horror movie.  Then again I expect you probably would since you have a pretty broad definition.

I simply love the dialogue in this movie.  Hopefully you'll be fascinated by the monster as well.  There is no nudity, but it does feature Sarah Polly in that bondage looking dress you see in the graphic there.  Hartley's actresses also have a very distinctive kind of beauty to them.

I do have to disagree with you there.  I doubt anything in Cobb's career (or any actor's career ever) can rival his performance in 12 Angry Men.  I always think of it as the greatest.

Well you both have my interests peeked with No Such Thing (2001).  I am amazed it got past me, since I scan the Cannes film Festivals movies list every year. Thank you both and I can't wait to watch it.

Awesome!  I'm excited to hear what you think about it too.  It was my first Hal Hartley movie, and now he's one of my very very favorite filmmakers!
