The Eventual Rebirth of bloodgutsandgore.com

As Dr. Gor will ebuilliently tell you, I had, many moons ago, a gruesomely-themed, sick-minded site called http://www.bloodgutsandgore.com wherein I chronicled...well, I think you can guess what, in unflinching and precise detail.  I let it go for quite a while but have recently gotten back into the violence and depravity of it all and have started taking up residence at a new host on bigger servers and, I hope, decidedly better efficiency at uploading my images.

A big problem, one I cannot overlook and one whose status I cannot accept, is that almost half (or close) of the images currently serving as links to the featured films aren't recognized and represented only as Xs.  This is infuriating and makes the site look like crap when it should look like something I worked long and hard on.  Its being pockmarked with blank frames in stead of DVD cover art disheartens me and weakens the effect the site could generate.  I hope the problem will be corrected in the future and the current film listings and several fresh corpses will look their ghoulish best.  For now, I hope you can look past the blotchy display and hover your mouse pointer over the empty boxes to see what movies they link to or rely on the drop-down menu to discover the copious contents.

It is a guarantee that I will work on moving the site into a better neighborhood and will attempt to resurrect it like the zombies it lavishes over and I hope you will be there for its rebirth and offer any suggestions as to corrections to the text or timestamps, suggestions for more deplorable and disgusting cinema or anything else that's on your brains (brains!!! ROTLD anyone?).

Congrats on getting your website updated! I hope you get your link problems worked out.  I understand the frustration as my Cultcuts website is way way behind.  My wife who handled all the web duties has been in the hospital since early January, and I must admit, as much as I spend time online promoting film, and our other company Digital Conquest, I'm a complete dope when it comes to web design.  She's getting better, so I hope we'll be back and up and running!

Well, I hope things work out for you and your site as well (and that your wife finally gets to come home!).  Perhaps when things are renewed and livened up the traffic will pick up and then I can swap links with other horror fans.  ;)

Don't you go using those big fancy colledge words on me, Mr. Phantasma-Gore-Ia... "...ebuilliently..." ... I have NO idea what that is supposed to mean. But I will say this, your 'bloodgutsandgore' site is by far among the coolest and most useful I have ever seen and I wish you would FIX THE FUCKING THING! I think you should try just a little bit harder (in the words of Janis Joplin) to share your talent with everybody and let everyone know that you are a walking freakin' horror movie encyclopedia... < GOR >

Wow. I really need to sit down and take a look at your site. I could tell by your name that you had something going on, but I didn't know all this. Hopefully you get everything running smoothly shortly!! Good luck and I defiantly will be stopping by and taking a look, even though its progress in work.

Re:The Eventual Rebirth of bloodgutsandgore.com

I welcome your (and any) traffic, suggestions, comments, etc. and yes, it is very much a "progress in work".  I have many new flicks that have come out in the last year or that I just discovered in that time and it will be necessary upon updating and launching the new site that this recent material be incorporated.  The most I can say past that is that I hope it serves some function if only to encourage already wickedly warped minds into further squalor.  ;)

One addition to be made (but still a while off, hence its featuring here) is the 2007 flick Automaton Transfusion:

DIRECTED BY steven c. miller STARRING garret jones, william howard bowman, juliet reeves

N       0:04:10.  The dude just had to fool with the corpse in the freezer, didn’t he?  Reaching in through the appropriately coffin-sized space in the morgue wall toward the body’s head, the young man who wheeled him in, then promptly threw up, shouldn’t have been surprised when it came to life and chewed a sizeable chunk from his neck, ripping flesh and muscle like a wild animal.  That of course was not enough.  Apparently the copious flowing blood and piercing screaming proved inspirational to the zombie who proceeded to pull his victim with him into the narrow space, folding him in half the wrong way across his waist.  SR: SSSSS

N       0:15:26.  All a mother wants from her son is just a little cheek…so she rips it off with her teeth.  SR: SSSSS

N       0:22:44.  A public eating leaves a young woman de-limbed and all but exsanguinated.  Niiice.  SR: SSSSS

N       0:27:54.  Be careful where you fall in a horror movie.  Eight or nine times out of ten it’ll be into a pool of blood, right next to a severed and skinned head.  SR: SSSSS

N       0:33:26.  Get ready for one wicked emergency C-section.  The dude whose mom chewed him out (ahem) earlier saunters placidly into the party wherein he rips into a young woman’s midsection and snatches her baby, complete with umbilical cord.  He then begins to eat it, wolfing it down like it was just some appetizer and not a beginning human being.  SR: SSSSS

N       0:34:49.  It’s a lovely night for a massacre, a regular human feeding frenzy – necks bitten out, heads ripped off, meat and blood consumed in a festival of sickness.  SR: SSSSS

N   0:37:11.  Oral surgery is usually performed by trained and licensed dentists, not by blood-soaked crazed zombies ripping off jaws with their red hands.  Unfortunatley for one girl, no one told that to a particular Z who threw all patient concern out the window and tore away her mandible, presumably just because he felt like it.  The boyfriend however is a little luckier, a lot angrier and better equipped with a strangely placed hammer under his bed which he uses to beat the Z’s undead brains in – sweet.  SR: SSSSS

N   0:40:44.  Chris decides, against logic and sense, to stop at home to see if his father made it out.  When he’s confronted with a bloody scene, he concludes the worst and nearly becomes lunch when his father’s reanimated corpse appears in the doorway.  Lucio Fulci-style Chris forces his dad to the floor whereupon he stakes him through the right eye with a shard of glass, a long and mean one at that.  Blood squirts and spurts and the Z is not very happy about it.  SR: SSSSS

N   Rounded up slightly for assorted grotesque mutilations of the human body and an abbreviated version of the director's "Braveheart meets Dawn of the Dead" vision.
