What's the best horror mocumentary of all time?

Im talking about films where you feel like your in the movie, like Blair Witch (which wasn't too good), American Zombie, Behind the Mask, and Cannibal Holocaust...films where the movie is from the view of the cameraman.

A good example, (though it isn't horror) is Cloverfield, which I thought was directed geniously.

My favorite has to be Man Bites Dog followed by The Blair Witch Project (apparently I'm the only one that loves it). So what is Cloverfield if it's not horror? I thought it was pretty horrific.

Hey you aren't the only one!

I have to admit that I loved  The Blair Witch Project  a LOT !   It got pretty darn creepy toward the end...   I think they COULD have done the ending a little better if only they had showed some brief glimpse of 'the witch'...   I liked  Book Of Shadows: Blair Witch 2  quite a bit as well.   Maybe even better than the first one...    But my FAVORITE movie of this type by FAR would be  Cannibal Holocaust  ...   this is the grittiest and most realistic of all of these types of movies and I believe it was the first.   This IS 'the movie that launched a thousand lunches' and it will never be duplicated...

I have to agree with u on Cannibal Holocaust. And don't get me wrong, I loved Blair Witch. Saw it in the Movies, while I was still living in the desert. It brough back memories of those creepy folk tales us Mainers tell are kids. But does anyone remember the The Last Broadcast ?  Another film in the horror mocumentary. The movie has a small cult following.

Yes.   I have  The Last Broadcast  in my collection.   It was deffinately pre-'Blair Witch' but post 'Cannibal Holocaust'...   In my opinion, The Original is the Best...

I am also a Blair Witch Fan, it had a lot of great goosebump moments.  I loved the part when the first guy went missing and you hear him calling for them in the distance, or the tent rustling.  I do wish they would have shown a shadow darting off or something a little more.

Cloverfield was definately a horror movie to me.  Lots of suspense, blindly running and not knowing what's in front of you, monsters, etc.

Blair Witch would have been much better with an awesome ending!
