Masters of Horror
Has anyone here watched this series? They take incredible directors and have them do an hour episode of something scary, creepy, gruesome, ghostly, or all of them rolled up into one. I just watched Dario Argento's Jenifer and have to say, it was a tad gorey, but it was really good. Steven Weber played a cop (he was on Wings) who falls for this victim that has a beautiful body but a MAJORLY disfigured face, she can't talk and acts like a wild animal (sexually and every other way). It's almost like Beauty and the Beast but switched, the man is the beauty and the woman is the beast. Anyway, I watched the interview with Dario Argento (with subtitles although the movie was made in America it was in English) but it was really interesting watching that AND he showed two of the scenes that they cut out...I think the men on this list would flinch BIG TIME. She had this HUGE disfigured mouth with razor sharp teeth, anyway one of the scenes that they had left out where she was slobbering all over the place and started to give him oral sex, you could tell he was disgusted and turned on at the same time, the other scene was her EATING this teenagers penis...they cut that out too. But Dario Argento laughed about it and said that no one else had ever done anything like that and he hoped that one day they would put it back in...hee hee. There was a lot of blood and intestines every which way, but it was a very good story and very entertaining. I would definately recommend it. So, if any of you guy's have seen this episode, would you do her and fall for her? Or you could always do like Scary Movie 2 and just put a bag over her head. lol. ANYWAY, what are some of your other favorite Masters of Horror episodes? I am going to start renting a few more from Netflix and try to watch all of them. Very cool...

Re: Masters of Horror
I saw bits and pieces of this series while it was showing on Showtime. I think I caught part of this episode and the one with Robert Englund in it. I don't recell what it was called, but it had to do with this guy that was killing girls and making them dance, basically. All of what I saw was really good, and I'd really like to check out more from the series.

Re: Masters of Horror
Actually, Lukasblu, you have seen more than I have. I just saw Jenifer and Right to Die (I didn't like that one either), I have Dario Argento's Pelts coming up on the list next, so I will see how I like that. I also have the other ones you mentioned on my Netflix Queue too. So we can let each other know the other ones we liked.

Re: Masters of Horror
I buy each of this series when it comes out. The best by far of any of them is Cigarette Burns. This is one of John Carpenter's best works. IF YOU HAVE NOT SEEN THIS, PLEASE, PLEASE WATCH THIS! Pelts, and Jennifer are close seconds with Haekel's Tale and Incident on and off a mountain road not far behind.

Re: Masters of Horror
"Pelts",the most goriest masters of horror i have seen.Just got "Jenifer" and "Dance of the Dead" in the mail but i have not watched it yet. Will definitely check out "Cigarette Burns "after i watch jenifer and dance of the dead. Have you seen Deer Woman and Sick Girl?I liked Sick Girl better than Deer Woman. Also saw "imprint" just a few days ago.Definitely the most disturbing of all the masters of horror. It was a little to chatty and a the story a bit confusing and the drago character performance was not that cool.I did, however, like the torture scene. And those torturers (older lady )had very ugly teeth.

Re: Masters of Horror
Yes, Cigarrette burns was really cool. I had to watch it twice because I missed some things the first time. It was really different, which I liked, I had not seen anything like it before, so that was great. Jenifer, was really cool, I liked how it began and ended. I am about to watch Incident on and OFf a Mountain Road, so I will see how that one is.

Re:Re: Masters of Horror
I just got through watching Imprint by Takashi Miike. I have to say this is my LEAST favorite. YUK. For one thing it was really stupid (I will just have to say that and for ME to say something was stupid, it just has to be pretty bad because I usually see the good in most everything - I also LOVE most Asian horror movies, there were a few good parts but I just couldn't handle it), AND I cannot handle torture that involves NEEDLES UNDER FINGER NAILS.....UGH, that was so gross OR needles in the GUMS - or a few other things. Anyway, I have to say that one will not go on my have to buy list...shudder...ick...gag...
