Napolean Dinomite!!!!! sry bout the spelling but i mean that movie like killed my brain it was so dum!!! all my friends were laughing and they thought it to be really funny but i down right hated it

i liked napoleon dynamite, i thought it was funny in spots and it actually had a little heart in it. it was just a fun movie to watch in my opinion. But thats how that movie is you either love it or you hate it. This is the movie i think is more over rated "Brokeback Mountain" I sat down to this "movie" and was like ok amaze me. but it wasnt anything ground breaking, it's what all the hype said it wasnt .... a gay cowboy love story. thats it, no more, no less. i was really dissapointed with it.

I have to disagree only that in if you've been to Idaho, people are really like that. That's frigeen I daho in a nutshell, and possible North Dakota.

Napleon Dynamite is one of those love-it or hate-it films... there doesn't seem to be any middle ground. Its a really dry, awkward humour style, with the funny parts being born more out of the discomfort of the audience from the awkwardness of the cast.

I personally liked it (it didn't change my life as it seems to have for so many), but I'll agree in a heartbeat that it is pretty overrated. It wasn't the funniest movie I've ever seen, but it wasn't bad either. I'll at least give it high marks for trying something different than the formulaic crap we see coming out of the studios right now. Its not a remake, and the plot hasn't been reused a million times in various guise.

Over-rated though? Ultimately, yes.
