Jean Gremillon
Paul's post about the films of Jean Gremillon is pretty exciting. I like that Telluride does this. It seems important to place new films in the context of old. I wish I could see some of these flicks, they look interesting. Paul, did you see any of the others? What else can you say about this director?

I'll post something about another Grémillon film I saw soon. What I
know is he was very prolific (we didn't even touch on any of his
documentary work) and very misunderstood, which is why he's hard to
find. I'd be interested in seeing any more of his films people can dig
up. Please, let me know if you find one.
