Re: Bleach
It is sad, but it is merely an example of Japanese studios marketing their anime in preperation for American subbing as, frankly, there may very well be more anime fans in america then in Japan, dont quote me on that. With this in mind and knowing that aside from Pokemon and perhaps YugiOh, Dragon Ball Z was the most successful and well known anime in America, certainly among the older generations. It stands to reason that by following the same format you could by chance create a mega hit. Dont get me wrong, I am a huge Bleach fan, and I love the series, despite its faults. Also for those of you still following, yes the Bounto were not in the manga, but any person who has watched anime should expect to see filler occassionally. Its simple, episodes equate to about 4 manga chapters so the creators have two options. Create a filler to pad the spacing between the two story arcs or drag things out in every episode. Which do you hate more, if you hate both, take my friends Dave's advice and just dont watch any anime over 26 episodes. Frankly, in comparison to say Naruto, Bleach has stayed away from really ruining the series with fillers and has remained for the most part very true to the manga. The upcoming story arc with Aizen and the Aranacars promises to be exceptional, and it will be if it follows the manga. I will only start to take issue with, after Aizen is defeated, whether they will continue. For this type of anime their success will rely on creating a new more powerful villian for the characters to pursue and how ridiculious the situation is created around the new villan. Pray bleach fans, they end the series after Aizen - it would make the most sense. Ill stop watching if they dont
