The best?

I don't know much about Anime, but I have heard a lot about this film. Is this considered the best one? What do you think the best Anime film is?

Re: The best?

I don't know about the best... it's a good one, but I think Akira, Spirited Away, Ghost in the Shell, and Princess Mononoke are ones more talked about / highly rated.  Cowboy Bebop is talked about a lot because it has a TV series attached to it.

I don't know if it's the best, but it's pretty good. I own it. I would have to say that any of Miyazaki's movies are probably the best.

Cowboy Beepop is entertaining, great characters, good plot line.

Millennium Actress is pretty good too, anyone seen that one?

Metropolis is fantastic.

Spirited Away is a good entry level animated film, it's was put out on DVD by Disney, and the transfer, voice acting and music is, in my humble opinion, superior to the original.

My Neighbor Totoro and Kiki's Delivery Service are good children's Japanese animations, so adorable, magical, fun.

What are you looking to watch?

Spirited Away is what got me into anime. Best? I don't know, but one of my favorite films of all time, period.

Hrmm...film...not series...Okay...Spirited Away, Nausicca, pretty much anything by Miyazaki, End of Evangelion (but you need to see the series first, natch), Perfect Blue, Tokyo Godfathers, Millennium Actress, Akira...all of these are excellent examples of Anime features. Cowboy Bebop is fantastic fun but start with the series before you hit the movie.

O genki de,
