Death By Smoochy Is More Like It
Death to Smoochy is perhaps one of the most deranged films that I have ever seen. The entire movie feels like a cross between Barney's Greatest Hits and Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. You can tell that the movie is supposed to be a dark comedy, but the jokes landed really flat with me. What was so surprising about this Lackluster is that it had a really amazing cast for the film. Edward Norton did a great job acting, but his character was so extremely bizarre from the get go it didn't work. Add to this the very drastically comedic styles between Robin Williams, Danny Devito & Jon Stewart and the end is result is pure caos. It felt like you had invited Bill Cosby and Chris Rock to go head to head on Last Comic Standing. In thinking on the premise of the film, I can't even imagine how this thing got greenlighted from the start.

Hmm. I loved it. I thought showing the dark side of an industry portraying such innocence was a fun premise. I also thought Ed Norton's innocence and corruption story was very funny.

Could not agree more with this piece of trash being on the list. I definitely "got it", but still hated it. I'm sorry, but the ice skating scene alone made me want to pound my head against the seat in front of me until I lost consciousness. Whatever the case, this is my all time worst movie ever. I feel like I need a shower just talking about it.

WOW...amazing to me how many people really just didn't get it. I laughed my butt off with this movie. They had the perfect actors for this film. It's not a film that everyone would like. But I certainly did. I need to rent it again for another laugh.

Maybe I didn't get the humor in this film, but I am generally pretty
open to all sorts of laughs. In Death to Smoochy, however, I do not
recall laughing once. I was bored, and I could not believe what a
disaster this film turned out to be.

You had to read between the lines and understand the motives to really enjoy the movie. It was a thinking movie. This was not a Jim Carrey movie to set back and be entertained sort of film.

I totally agree with Rock- I enjoyed this movie! Fell in love with Ed Norton all over again. It may not be everyone's cup of tea, but it definitely does not deserve to be slapped with "Worst Movie Ever".

Re: Death By Smoochy Is More Like It
Does Robin Williams have more "Worst Movies" on the list than any other working actor? His latest, License to Wed, has already been called worst movie of the year by A. O. Scott and Mick LaSalle. He's made some good ones, but a lot of strange ones as well.

Re: Death By Smoochy Is More Like It
I did not see License to Wed, but it sounds like a good canidate for the list. Maybe we should figure out some kind of lifetime achieve award for Mr. Williams, I know that I've got Mrs. Doubtfire on my Worst Movie List.
