The search fo the worst movie ever

I am intrigued by this group as providing some of the best information on this site.  But I am confused about some of the discussions/nominations.  I mean some people just seem to be putting the title of "Worst Movie Ever" on films that just aren't up their alley.  For example, I hated the lord of the rings movies, but I didn't like the story line and movies about elves, and rings, and dwarves that are confused about who they are don't sail my ship.  SO I wouldn't nominate it for the worst movie ever.  I haven't noticed any Keanu Reeves, Stephen Segal, Barney, or Jean Claude Van Damme movies.   Nor are there many sequels or remakes listed.

I guess what I'm getting at is who's really looking for the worst movie ever made?

The actual worst movie ever made is probably never seen.  It was probably made by some kid in his basement.

I think the movies people are going to be discussing as the worst are actually the worst amonst those that have wide distribution.  Many of the actors you listed have some horrible movies but probably a lot of them have gone straight to video and fewer people have seen them.

. And no I am not talking about the one done in 1980 :P this one was far far worse.  See for yourself. Which I am sure you will agree with me.

You've got Mail and Napolean Dynamite. Seriously of the 1 or 2 hours of movie time of napolean dynamit I think 30 minutes is the dialogue.

There is no movie worse than, Troll 2.  Hands down the worst.  Script was written in Italian and had to be translated on set to even read lines.  The ending contains the main characters being saved by a magic Balogna Sandwich.

New to Spout, so first of all: Hi all!

I would like to posit 'Manos The Hands of Fate' as the worse movie ever made.  I discovered it, as many did, via the now classic Mystery Science Thater 3000 braodcast.  I have heard many, many arguemnets about the worse film ever made.  Titles such as 'Battlefied Earth' and 'Plan 9 from Outter Space' get thrown around, and they are true pieces of film making incompentence, no arguement  (although, in the case of 'Plan 9', oddly more endearing ).  However, anyone who I have met who has had the distict nonpleasure of watching 'Manos' has ever argued it's status as worse ever.  Watching it with the MST3K commentary is entertaining; but without - watching pure, undiluted 'Manos', is like watching the worse car accident imaginable and being unable to look away.

I thought Napolean Dynamite was hilarious, you really think this is the worst movie ever?
