Come on now.. really?
Why is this in "Worst Movie Ever"?
It wasn't THAT bad was it?
There are some great quotes from this movie!

Re: Come on now.. really?
I remember three things about this movie. It was the first movie in which I saw Jim Carrey, and I decided I would never again see a film with him in it (I have since changed my mind). Also, I remember that I hated the movie so much that I turned it off an never looked back after the first 15 minutes. However, I remember a scene in which Ace Ventura was driving down the road with his head out the car window like a dog, and that made me laugh. So, yes, I can understand why it's here, but I also think it could be argued due to a matter of taste.

Re: Come on now.. really?
I agree, take this film off the Worst Movie Ever list. It really was an
original comedic mystery done the way only Jim Carrey can. It hit on
every taboo subject of the 90's from animal cruelty to transgenders to
the Miami Dolphins...

Re: Come on now.. really?
This movie was That Bad. It was really Bad. I was a Fan of Jim Careys from In living Color, and this movie completely turned me off from his comedy. He just acts like a complete ass the entire time. He's not even funny, just moronic. Most adults hated this movie. The only reason it wasn't a bomb was that little kids loved it. Parents had no choice but to buy a ticket for themselves in order for their kids to see it, thus the movie made money. It was infantile humor, at best. Definetley not deserving of a sequel. Absolutely one of the Worst Films Ever.

It is one of the worst movies ever. But that doesn't mean you can't like it. I happen to love bad movies. Not this one. But just because it is on the list doesn't mean you can't dig it. You need to revel in its crappyness. Hoist that turd up there and enjoy.

Re: Come on now.. really?
There is no such thing as a "good Jim Carrey quote". Yes this movie was that bad. You probably just saw it at a less cinematic maturity level. It probably has some nostalgic connections that make it "not that bad". But in retrospect, it was that bad. I remember it being awesome, yet I know it wasn't.

Re: Come on now.. really?
But for creative merit alone, shouldn't this film be removed?
What other film in history unmasked the villain by revealing his "scorching case of hemmorroids?"

Re: Come on now.. really?
I wasn't the one that added Ace Ventura, but I'm going to vote guilty on this one. It could just be that I don't have a proper appreciation of the three stooges, but I found this movie mind numbingly unfunny. The slapstick, to off color jokes, Jim Carrey's antics, it just didn't connect. Hard to argue it was a lackluster based upon the movies box office sucess, but still a dud in my book.

Re: Come on now.. really?
As much as I love this movie because of the fact that i saw it with some family that i havent seen in a long time, now that i think about it, it was pretty corny. But it definetly (typo) should not be part of the worst movie ever list because it was not that bad. Just pretty stupid...
