The way Samuel worked the producers on th escript and the changes that were made mid-filming to apease threaders made it the perfect B thriller/comedy with an A budget. I saw it in a packed theatre, opening day, and it was filled with obnoxious kids that usually make going to the theatre unbearable. They only made it better. Everybody was cheering/clapping/chanting thru the whole ordeal. It is less or a movie... more of an experience.
Re: You got to be kiddinghttp://www.spout.com/groups/Player_Haters_Ball/Re_You_got_to_be_kidding/31/2382/1/ShowPost.aspxSun, 13 Aug 2006 17:10:48 GMTcdd0f780-13db-4d93-b0f4-ada579d02ae7:2382brickgirl6If you go to the movie's web site, you can send a personalized message from Samuel L. Jackson via email or phone. I think the whole thing is quite funny and it has potential to be a cult fav or a guilty pleasure. I love the way tongue in check way they are approaching the movie and the marketing of it. I for one will see it... when and if it makes it way over to Denmark...
Re: You got to be kiddinghttp://www.spout.com/groups/Player_Haters_Ball/Re_You_got_to_be_kidding/31/2180/1/ShowPost.aspxMon, 07 Aug 2006 14:02:16 GMTcdd0f780-13db-4d93-b0f4-ada579d02ae7:2180Kami6For some odd, odd reason, I had a "message" on my answering machine from Samuel L. Jackson Saturday night telling me to go see Snakes on a Plane and listing off the reasons I should see it. The message was hilarious (but filled with filthy language). It was a wasted effort on me, I have no desire whatsoever to see it.Re: You got to be kiddinghttp://www.spout.com/groups/Player_Haters_Ball/Re_You_got_to_be_kidding/31/1806/1/ShowPost.aspxThu, 13 Jul 2006 17:41:06 GMTcdd0f780-13db-4d93-b0f4-ada579d02ae7:1806Kami6No kidding! I thought the same thing. I couldn't help but feel bad for everyone involved for having such bad judgment. What was Samuel L. Jackson thinking signing up for this film?
