Honestly, i think i am somewhere between jo from little women and carrie, with a touch of anne of green gables thrown in.

If there was a character which represented me, it would be Francis Dollarhyde, played by Tom Noonan, in Manhunter. Not because he kills innocent families, but because he kicks ass with that shotgun in the climax! I also reckons Randall (Jeff Anderson) from Clerks suits me coz I'm a major slacker! Finally, like many fellow spouts here, Travis Bickle, Robert De Niro, from Taxi Driver because this world is so fuckin' insane!

The character that best represents me is Dinky Bossetti from the movie WELCOME HOME, ROXY CARMICHAEL played by Winona Ryder. The other 30% of the time I'm much closer to Lalaina Pierce (also Winona Ryder) from REALITY BITES. On occasion I'm Alison (Ally Sheedy) from the BREAKFAST CLUB.

The movie character I would have to say I relate to is Daniel Plainview from There Will be Blood.

There's a scene where he's on his porch talking with his brother saying and laughing in an evil way "I'm not like these people." It felt like it was very close to how I feel about a lot of people in my life. Also his anti-religion views are like me and how he distances himself from others.

Personally I'd have to go with the Favreau's character (Mikey) from Swingers...but a lot less whiney.

I just saw beetlejuice on cable...I forgot how awesome that flick is...Michael Keaton was fantastic...Courteous ghosts would be cool...

One more note... My ex-wife told me that I was EXACTLY Dennis Farina (the mob boss) in Midnight Run ... an assesment I can somewhat agree with ... but what is weird is that the Robert DeNiro character reminds me EXACTLY of my Dad!

Interesting fact. I just read that Dennis Farina was a leap year baby. And today is his birthday!

Well, this might seem strange but maybe Im a little like Amelie Poulin... Not like I try to put people in funny\meet your destiny kind of situation. But more like I m way too much interested in other people s life and should care a bit more about mine!?I think I have my own sense of how I should live my life, my strange habits,my own (weird) definition of hapiness....just like her!

On the other hand I would very much like to be more like Alex in Flashdance and actually live my dreams... Or just like Rocky Balboa becoming rich while reaching my goals!!!

I saw Paul Schrader speak once and he said that he's had more people come up to him and say "Travis Bickle is ME!" more times that he can possiblly remember. Apparently a lot of people idenitfy with him. That's pretty frightening, but I guess not surprising.

   As far as personality and manerisms, I would say that the one who most resembles me is Quint from Jaws .   But I also see a lot of myself in the Captain Rhodes character from Day of The Dead (original)...

I think who I most identify with is Joel Barish from Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind - and I wouldn't mind putting him out there as a character that represents me maybe 60% of the time.

He's a good guy - yet confused - does some stuff he regrets and would love to forget them - and I'm always thinking that it'd be great to erase half of my memories b/c most of them are useless and embarassing. But I always come back to realizing that those bad choices are what make me ME and just like Joel I would make them again to make myself happy with the life I've lived.

It's got to be Travis Bickle!, Taxi Driver..i got told that at the time,but i probably felt closer to James L Brooks's character...also, any Woody Allen "character",up to ,and including Manhatten...concurrent with those would have been "Gregory" from Gregory's Girl...now ,i feel more like Ed Norton in Fight Club..right down to the Ikea furniture ...

Though I'm not exactly like him but I definitely could identify with Seth Rogan in "Knocked Up." In my case, I did not get Mary Ann (a Philipina version of Katherine Heigl) pregnant. The look she gave me the next morning when we had breakfast at IHOP. I hardly indulge anymore but I also suggested to smoke a good joint is the best way to cure a fierece hangover. Smoking anything period was unacceptable to her and most of the breakfast was in silence. Weeks after, we did hang out but she brought her boyfriend and that was that.

I don't know that I can pick a character that best represents me, so I'll pick one that I've always identified with - Lane Meyer, John Cusack's character in Better Off Dead. In fact, I identify with many of of the characters that John Cusack played in the 80's (eg: from Sixteen Candles, One Crazy Summer,...).

Gosh, I can't think of a "movie" character, but I can think of an anime one... hehehe *embarrassed* Tohru from Fruits Basket. She's almost endlessly optimistic and she cares a lot about people-- especially her friends. =)

If I absolutely HAVE to go movie character... Peter Pan. (except he was a book first... well, a play actually... heh I just can't win!)
