And it has Martial Arts, that's a win win in my book! (That's my shameless self-promotion for my MA group!)

I have to be in the mood to watch a truly bad movie, but these kinds of movies are always more bareable when they know they suck and don't take themselves seriously, the use of comic relief is always helpful. Surf Ninjas did a great job of this, which really made the movie quite enjoyable.
Re:Alright, who here secretly LOVES terrible movies?http://www.spout.com/groups/Worst_Movie_Ever/Re_Alright_who_here_secretly_LOVES_terrible_movie/104/37105/1/ShowPost.aspxSat, 08 Nov 2008 09:34:18 GMTcdd0f780-13db-4d93-b0f4-ada579d02ae7:37105ThomasJeffersonGeronimo11
It showed great restraint on the part of the producers that Johnny 5 only hung out with grownups. if they'd done Short Circuit 3, im sure thered have been a kid involved somehow.

I may be dumber than most, but i didn't realize until watching part of it on tv as a grownup that fisher stevens was supposed to be some kind of indian or pakistani. I guess i just thought he was from the same place as balki bartokamous, some kind of Wacky-accent-istan.

seely:

I believe you mean 'horribly awesome!'

Risselada:

Oh man you are so right. I just watched Short Circuit again recently for the first time since I was a kid I'm sure. I remembered so many of the lines. Somehow these lines became "classic". BUT THE MOVIE IS HORRRRRIBLE!

Re:Alright, who here secretly LOVES terrible movies?http://www.spout.com/groups/Worst_Movie_Ever/Re_Alright_who_here_secretly_LOVES_terrible_movie/104/37059/1/ShowPost.aspxFri, 07 Nov 2008 17:53:52 GMTcdd0f780-13db-4d93-b0f4-ada579d02ae7:37059seely11

Re:Alright, who here secretly LOVES terrible movies?http://www.spout.com/groups/Worst_Movie_Ever/Re_Alright_who_here_secretly_LOVES_terrible_movie/104/37052/1/ShowPost.aspxFri, 07 Nov 2008 15:13:12 GMTcdd0f780-13db-4d93-b0f4-ada579d02ae7:37052Risselada11

pippin06:

I have never gone to the theater for a bad movie because I can't see spending that money up front (especially when I know it's going to be bad). However, I own a few clunkers for their sentimental value, which I occasionally pull out. They had to have cost $5 or less because I don't believe in paying more for some of these flicks. The one that pops immediately to mind is Short Circuit. That is NOT a good movie, in just about any way you can define it, but I have some sort of ridiculous nostalgia for "Your mama was a snowblower!" And, by default, it's sort of an 80s classic; they made at least one sequel.

Oh man you are so right. I just watched Short Circuit again recently for the first time since I was a kid I'm sure. I remembered so many of the lines. Somehow these lines became "classic". BUT THE MOVIE IS HORRRRRIBLE!
Re:Alright, who here secretly LOVES terrible movies?http://www.spout.com/groups/Worst_Movie_Ever/Re_Alright_who_here_secretly_LOVES_terrible_movie/104/37046/1/ShowPost.aspxFri, 07 Nov 2008 12:45:57 GMTcdd0f780-13db-4d93-b0f4-ada579d02ae7:37046pippin0611
Re:Alright, who here secretly LOVES terrible movies?http://www.spout.com/groups/Worst_Movie_Ever/Re_Alright_who_here_secretly_LOVES_terrible_movie/104/37045/1/ShowPost.aspxFri, 07 Nov 2008 08:54:22 GMTcdd0f780-13db-4d93-b0f4-ada579d02ae7:37045ThomasJeffersonGeronimo11
Why secretly love bad movies? Openly love them! Vin Diesel is like gravity after all; you're just drawn to him. I haven't seen the third one, but 2 Fast 2 Furious is a treat too.
