"This is the story of members of one of the greatest gunfights in US history, the OK Corral in Tombstone, Arizona. The film focuses on "Wyatt Earp" (Kurt Russell), who reunites with his brothers "Virgil" (Sam Elliot, who seems to favor doing Westerns when one comes up) and "Morgan" (Bill Paxton) and the rest of his faction in the famed gun battle including the ailing "Doc Holiday" (Val Kilmer). The film not only runs through the months and days leading to the gunfight, but it also shows the battle and its fallout where the Earp Gang goes after . The first thing you will notice in this movie has an authentic look. The costumes, though none had that "worn" look, looked real authentic right down to the buttons. Even facial hair on the men looked to be the style worn during the time of the Gunfight at the OK Corral. There are some good performances in this film. Russell does a good job in the feature role, and Kilmer almost steals every scene he is in. If you want somebody in a Western, ... " [More]

"Twitter, the popular micro-blogging service, has turned into a powerful tool in the hands of not only consumers but marketers of all stripes as well. Comcast, Paramount Pictures and a handful of others have all latched on to it as a way to communicate with customers, acting not only as a distribution platform but a conversation hub and customer service hub as well. Some of the biggest names in the social media marketing world are spending serious time brainstorming how to use Twitter for marketing, debating its usefulness and otherwise hashing out a series of best practices for utilizing the service. Media outlets have also turned to Twitter for many of the same reasons. TV Guide, Fox News and even Spout have a presence there to, again, promote their content and, in some cases, even engage in a back-and-forth with readers. But did you know that Darth Vader is twittering? How about Cobra Commander? [More]

"Friends. What would the world be like without that buddy you rely on? The laughter you share. The one you can always drunk dial, confess sins you wouldn't tell a priest to, or drive off a cliff with? But will your friends kill for you? A lot? Willingly die? Maybe you haven't had a chance to put that one to the test yet. The Curator begs to question, does sex matter? Let's find out.The Films: Thelma and Louise, TombstoneViewing order importance: Either will do, but recommended as above. Because the Curator says so.Thelma and Louise: A fine example of chic-flickiness, directed by Ridley Scott. Yes, Ridley Scott, with a plethora of wonderful co-stars that the Curator will resist writing about as we are wont to sometimes do. Abusive men and monotonous jobs set these 2 off on a date with destiny. Everything packed? Well let's see, scarves, sunglasses, fishing net, gun....wait GUN? Thelma what are you doing with that? Uh oh, here comes trouble. These ladies were " [More]

"I really don't care for westerns, so for me to praise one says something! I mean if you're a guy you could actually look up to some of these cats and say Damn I wanna be like that when I grow up. Excellent story! You just gotta love Val Kilmer as "Doc Holiday"! " [More]
