Directed by Peter Sykes
Christopher Lee stars in this weak occult melodrama as Father Michael Rayner, an excommunicated priest who decides to save the world from its decadence by teaming up with Satan. Richard Widmark is on hand as John Verney, out to stop Rayner's satanic rituals and helped along on the path of goodness by friends Anna Fountain (Honor Blackman) and David (Anthony Valentine). The plot centers on distraught father Henry Beddows (Denholm Elliott), who has signed over his daughter Catherine (Nastassja Kinski) to Rayner in order to save his own skin and now regrets it. ~ Paul Brenner, All Movie Guide

"I recently read that To the Devil, a Daughter was the last movie to come out of Englands Hammer Studios. And while I would agree with most critics that this movie lacks the style and flair of most Hammer productions, it has something that no other Hammer film has had before... Nastassja Kinski nude. To put it quite simply, that is " [More]

"To the Devil a Daughter is the last of the Hammer Horror films, and one of the least typical. As I learned on the DVD documentary, the studio was in its death throws at the time of its making and was forced to co-produce the film with a German studios at the time of its making. Unlike other Hammer films, this is a certifiable A production-with stars, a less exploitive storyline and more cereral feel. The film was influenced not only by the sucess of [More]

"Much like Zombies and Cannibals there is an entire sub-genre of Horror films called 'Nun-Horror' ... I was recently in another group where a guy mentioned a preference for 'nun' films (including The Sound Of Music!) ... and I said that if you are going to watch movies about 'nuns', why not watch some good ones like... "[quote user="Dr_Gor"] OK... I'm sure many of you could see this coming... One of the staples of many great Horror Films has been 'gratuitous female nudity'... So what was the best? There have always been certain 'scream queens' who, it would seem, love to get naked at every opportunity! You can check out every inch of Misty Mundae in several movies like [More]
