Directed by Charles B. Pierce
This thriller -- based on actual events -- tells in a pseudo-documentary-style of the murders of five people by a man in post-WWII Arkansas. This mystery was still considered unsolved at the time of its release. ~ Kristie Hassen, All Movie Guide

"I first saw this one in the theater in 1976 (surprise!) and I have seen it more than a couple times since. Although considered a "B-movie" it is apparent that the producer and director spent quite a bit of money on this film in the form of some recognizable actors, vintage costumes and sets (including a very believable recreation of the streets and buildings of Texarkana, TX/AR in 1946) and a LOT of vintage cars from that era AND a few pretty good gore effects an " [More]

"[quote user="mercurial"] After countless reincarnations of the indelible Jason Voorhees, Marcus Nispel (who directed the remake of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre) is trying to reinvent another classic horror film, Friday the 13th. The celluloid is packed to the edges with B-List teens and twentysomethings that undoubtedly jumped at the chance to be screaming fodder for the iconic serial killer. Expectations are u " [More]

"[quote user="Risselada"] I just saw an interesting documentary on H H Holmes, H.H. Holmes: America's First Serial Killer. Some of the production was kind of goofy, but he's an interesting fellow. I mean a real sicko. He started doing his dirty work shortly after Jack the Ripper, and it seems like he really outshadowed him. Strangely enough, I don't think I had heard of him before I saw th " [More]

"I would just like to say a few words about Friday the 13th, Part 2 ... This is one of the most UNDER-RATED and BEST horror films ever made! Remember, this is the movie that introduced us to 'Jason' ! In part 1, 'Jason' didn't exist (except as a corpse) and it was 'Mrs. Voorhee " [More]

"Aside from the big one JAWS, the ones that got me the most were Arachnophobia and Friday the 13th pt2. I was very young when i saw these movies and they really messed me up. I became terrified when i saw spiders, I am now over that fear but with Friday it was a feeling i got. I dont know when it happens if the film but you see jason run across a road to have the cop follow him. It was just the felling of seeing him all of a sudden, it made my stomach drop and put a weird feeling over my spine " [More]
