This Australian silent-film classic is taken from the poem by C.J. Dennis. Filmed on location in Sydney, the story concerns Bill (Arthur Tauchert) the working-class hero who falls in love and marries Doreen (Lottie Lytell). The waterfront docks of Wooloomooloo are shown as they appeared at the time of the film's release.
