Synopsis
From writer/director Anna Melikyan comes this whimsical drama about a green-haired girl whose family is forced to move from their rural home to Moscow. Once there, the quirky introverted girl comes of age while clashing with the trappings of the big city. Originally titled Rusalka, Mermaid screened at the 2008 Sundance Film Festival, where it was nominated for the Grand Jury Prize. ~ Matthew Tobey, All Movie Guide
