"Both are broadly classifiable as science fiction, but Alien is basically a horror flick and Aliens has all the conventions of a war film. That’s a pretty slick transition from one type of movie to another, especially since the switch was so immediate within the series. Most movie franchises don’t play with genre in such a way until they’ve gone through a number of sequels, and even then the series usually just simply takes its characters into outer space, a la Moonraker, Jason X and Leprechaun 4. Genre jumping isn’t that easy, though, unless a franchise inhabits a whole universe in which to expand through. Like Star Wars, for example. "There apparently are other reasons to see Woody Allen’s Vicky Cristina Barcelona besides the infamous lesbian kiss between Scarlett Johansson and Penélope Cruz or the threesome between these actresses and Javier Bardem. But as the first things most of us heard about the movie, the sex scenes are certainly a big sell (the ménage à trois is even being used in a promotional contest to win a “threesome” with ScarJo). Even if they’re reportedly underwhelming. Promise of tantalizing footage has been an appeal for moviegoers likely since the dawn of cinema, with film pioneer Eadweard Muybridge’s The Human Figure in Motion - Descending Stairs and Turning Around featuring nudity as far back as the 1880s. And if you’ve seen any of the titles included in today’s list, chances are their respective sex scenes were at least part of what made you buy a ticket (or rent the video).

"This was a film that was suggested to me, and I generally take suggestions when it comes to films because if someone has liked something enough to recommend it to me, then I think It's worth watching and do try to see the films that people suggest. So i bought it and I was not sorry. It is a very good film despite what I considered to be a fairly poor British Accent from Whitaker. I, seemingly unlike most of society saw this without any clue as to what the film was even about so when the 'secret' of the film hit I was shocked. For once, there was something that was totally unexpected for me in a film. Generally, most major twists and turns can be figured roughly if you think a little but this one caught me totally off guard. The performances in this film were particularly strong with an outstanding performance from Stephen Rea as a man trying to escape his past and do right, whilst getting entangled in things beyond his control, such as his emotions. This is defi ... "
