Marion Vernoux spins this breezy romantic comedy about love and society. Hortense is a married chiropractor juggling the responsibilities of home, work, and two or three lovers on the side. Unfortunately, her lover du jour can't be reached while her husband is away on a business trip. Her brother recently married, and while he is picking up the wedding photos to show to his family, he catches the eye of a beautiful lass named Marie working behind the camera store counter. Marie's father is a has-been television announcer struggling to put a brave face on the impending visit of his now fantastically successful former partner.
