"There is so much going on these days in the marketing of The Dark Knight (see Chris Thilk’s most recent update/summary here), but Warner Bros. may be wasting a lot of time and money on its campaigns. If we’re to believe an AP story from yesterday, there’s already enough interest in the Batman Begins sequel coming from two separate directions: comic book fandom (”the magnitude of a comic-book franchise with an illustrious 70-year history”) and, of course, the cult of celebrity death (”arguably the biggest movie featuring a posthumous role in Hollywood history.”). The article highlights a number of posthumous film releases, including those of James Dean (Rebel Without a Cause and Giant), Spencer Tracy (Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner), Will Rogers (Steamboat Round the B "

"This movie was to the 10th power of extreme in the sexiness factory. Yeah, as most other vampire movies with at least decent quality are. Everyone would make a much better vampire in my opinion, and the soundtrack was mesmorizing. I <3.. <3.. loved it ! And it was interesting how this movie went off of Anne Rice's novel as did "Interview with the Vampire" almost a decade before. I just wish that they wouldn't have skipped "The Vampire Lastat" because I was hoping for an entire movie series just like the Vampire Chronicals novel series. That would have been sweetness and very tasty at the least, but I'm happy with what they did create into viewible content. This movie maked me happy in the panties. (;D) Yeah, lol. "

"It is my opinion, and that of many others I know, that helped lend the entire feel to Queen of the Damned. Her youthful good looks, voice, and seemingly, brooding, woeful take on Jessie's whole demeaner, was perfect in that she is a young girl, who's been left without a family, except for an Aunt Majarette, who, herself, has been a victim of Akasha's, and her whole sense of family, and the love that comes with that, still remains, and she still possesses enough human feelings, that she strives to maintain enough of what is left of her family, to try and keep a balance between the Vampire community and that of the normal, human race. Jessie is a young girl caught in between both worlds, and what better(maybe too obvious) choice for her than that of Lestat, portrayed by the ever gorgeous, Stuart Townsend. She has the whole thing working for her in the wardrobe, looks, haircolor, build, and sadness that she should have had, to match Stuart Townsends, portrayal of Lestat. I loved Vincent Pere ... "

"I loved this movie so much, I bought it. It was Aaliyah's last movie, and she died before getting to see it finished. I haven't liked Tom Cruise sinceRisky Business and The Minority Report, and the idea of replacing him with Stuart Townsend, was a brilliant switch. Lestat is and always has, been portrayed as a very sexy vampire with a conscience. Stuart Townsends, portrayal of Lestat, was as it should have been. Sexy, brooding voice and personality combined, really brought the character to life for not only me, but my huge family and many friends. I have built an entire community out of this movie. Aaliyah, was so very beautiful and very convincing in her portrayal of the Queen, and as she was supposed to be played. The right looks, sound, and body language, are what made Aaliyah & Stuart Townsend the perfect pairing. "

"I was a big fan of the Interview with the Vampire movie and actually read the book Queen of the Damned before seeing the film. I think that the whole franchise is pretty good, but they didn't do a very good job with the film. Anne Rice does a good job of using Queen of the Damned to help continue the story of Lestat's life after Interview, but they went cheapo on the sequel and instead of hiring Tom Cruise had another actor play Lestat. There were also a lot of holes that never got filled in from the first movie. Overall, the movie was entertaining and a good way to spend 2 hours, but it really didn't have the same bite that the first one had. "
