Filmmakers Chris Bradley and Kyle LaBrache co-directed this film that exists somewhere between an improvisational mockumentary and an actual documentary. Starring Jeff Goldblum as himself, the film follows the actor's attempts to put on a production of The Music Man in the titular town. The play really happened, but how much is real and how much is just deadpan comedy remains for the audience to discern. Goldblum's friends Illeanna Douglas and Ed Begley Jr. co-star as themselves. ~ Matthew Tobey, All Movie Guide

"Pittsburgh, which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2006 before going straight to cable and DVD this year, is a mock documentary about Jeff Goldblum’s run starring in a production of The Music Man in his hometown. Some of the film is “real”; some of it is sketched to look real, ala Ch " [More]

"Oh gang, run see this down in Saugatuck this weekend, Waterfront Film Festival. One reason is: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm000 0156/ You know? Yummy. I'll see anything with Goldblum in it, of course. And Jeff Goldblum on a big inflatable screen, beer, good friends. And Pittsburgh. I loved this film for lots and lots of reasons, and have just one niggle. This is a fun kind of film, where actors play themselves, they poke fun at their profession, at their egos, at the ma " [More]
JennJenn Film Fest in Saugatuck this wee ...
by Jenn in Worth getting a babysitter
"Opening night of the Waterfront Film Festival was a treat with the music of Emerson Hart and a beer garden on the shores of the Kalamazoo River in downtown Saugatuck, Michigan. Meeting up with close friends, reuniting with volunteers from the last festival, and meeting our film guests made for a great evening. Capping it off was the free screening of Jeff Goldbloom's, Pittsburgh in the middle of Water Street on a blow-up screen. While I was distracted still laughing with fri " [More]
