"The title of this film pretty much sums the story up. You can image Miss Pettigrew quite well just from her name. Perhaps you had Miss Pettigrew in your 9th grade English literature class or she was your kindergarten teacher. Her stockings always have a run in them, she never wears makeup, her dress always looks at though it were made out of the fabric of a overly patterned curtain and her hair is always piled on top of her head in a bun in unattractive wispy curls. "Basically another version of the Cinderella fairy tale, this time featuring a middle-aged woman.
