"An attempted jewel robbery goes bad so Paul is sacrificed and left behind to facilitate the escape of his cohorts. He’s blamed for the death of a policeman and sentenced to a long term in prison. The man who put everything together (Professor Kruger) was also left hanging since he did not receive the diamonds he was supposed to get as payment for organizing the whole thing. "
