An amiable expectant father indulges in excess during a leisurely-paced business trip to New York City, only to discover that his debaucheries may have unexpected consequences in this naturalistic morality tale from director Preston Miller. New York City is quite a change of pace from South Carolina, and while Jones is in the city he's determined to pack a lifetime of experience into just a couple of days. Since his work schedule allows for plenty of personal time during his excursion into the city, Jones considers attending a lecture by his favorite author and longs to rub elbows with the colorful locals while soaking in the city's legendary nightlife. Jones views New York City as his personal playground - a place to indulge in his fantasies without guilt or fear of reprisal - and he sees the people who walk the streets as shadows put there for his own personal amusement. After all, he'll never see these people again, so why not have a little fun with them? In between intense bouts of smoking, drinking, and raising hell in the city, Jones occasionally checks in on his pregnant wife. On his last night, Jones brings his urban adventure to a rousing close by visiting a local brothel. Now that Jones' experience is complete, the exhausted business traveler will be forced to look in the mirror and determine whether he is in fact a changed man, or if he is truly capable of the deception that lies ahead. ~ Jason Buchanan, All Movie Guide
