In this silent comedy drama, a grizzled mountain man tries to make the best of a disappointing situation when his wife bears him a girl rather than the much-hoped for son. Rather than be all depressed, the feller names the baby "Bill" and raises her as a boy. That's all fine and dandy until the Bill grows up and Mother Nature asserts herself and the girl begins affecting feminine ways.
