Synopsis
In 2008, British heavy metal legends IRON MAIDEN took rock and roll touring to new heights and embarked on the Somewhere Back in Time world tour. Flying in their customized Boeing 757 with 12 tons of equipment and 70 crew, Maiden traveled over 40,000 miles in just 45 days playing sold-out concerts from India to Los Angeles to the tip of South America. And not only did lead singer Bruce Dickinson perform all 23 shows, he also piloted the plane. IRON MAIDEN: FLIGHT 666 brings the road trip movie to the air, taking you behind the scenes and inside the cockpit of the most ambitious tour in rock history. The film shows one of the world's most influential bands captivating new fans in cultures across the globe without support from radio or mainstream media. ~sxsw.com
