Directed by Mick Napier.
Directed by Mick Napier and featuring many of the creative minds behind the now-defunct Chicago area theater troupe Annoyance Productions comes Fatty Drives the Bus, a comical tale about Satan forced into leading a tour bus of doomed tourists through downtown Chicago. Satan finds that he must go to Chicago in person when one of his demons refuses the job, due to the fact that Jesus is also planning on being in the Windy City at the same time. The tourists that are to use the aforementioned bus are all supposed to die, but where their souls end up is now in question as Satan and Jesus vie for control in this wacky comedy distributed by Troma Entertainment. ~ Ryan Shriver, All Movie Guide

"It's weird to imagine if they are all from different eras.Gondorf and Hooker are pulling a big one over on Lonnegan. Dr. Richard Kimble is on the run from a U.S. Marshal. The McAllister family is flying out of O'Hare minus one member. Bill is working his last day at the steel-mill. Rob Gordon is making another stupid list and whining about his life. Satan is giving a bus tour of the St. Valintine's Day Massacre. Wayne and Garth are headbanging. "Rocket" Steadman is sucking it up like usual. Tom Stansfield is chasing an owl named O.J. in the year 2003. A baby carriage falls down the stairs. William Gates fucks up his knee. " [More]

"You know even though I'm involved in the Chicago improv scene, I'm not really a huge fan of most of the movies that get made with or by people from this scene. There are some TV shows I think are pretty great like Upright Citizens Brigade from I.O. and Mr. Show had a lot of people from Second City and The Annoyance and people who had done comedy stuff in Chicago. If you want to see something really fuckin wierd check out Fatty Drives The Bus made by the folks at The Annoyance. "I know what my #1 pic is, no doubt about it 1. The Devil and Daniel Webster. (1941) No doubt about it. I read this short story (at the book store whe you work while you were working actually, Adam) and I loved it. I saw the movie and I loved it. It's one of my absolute favorite movies of all time actually. Walter Huston is so compelling as The Devil, Mr. Scratch. The final shot of him noticing the viewer at home and coming towards the camera gives me wonderful goosebumps! I don't know if I can make a decent top 5 list out of this either. Jason, I liked the suggestion of Barton Fink. I'm not sure if Charlie Meadows is Satan himself, but he definitely represents some kind of Hell on earth. I would also like to mention Dirty Work, which is a fairly funny movie where Adam Sandler has a quick cameo as The Devil. And also Fatty Drives the Bus, since I'm currently taking classes with Mick Napier and it is pretty entertaining in a very unusual way. Read the synopsis to this film. T ... " [More]
