"A ruthless farmer genetically engineers a new race of sheep to revolutionize farming. However, when environmental activists steal one of the by-products and accidentally set it loose, the sheep suddenly develop a liking for blood and humans start transforming into super-sheep. And Henry, a former farm boy with a sheep-phobia, is the only one who can try to stop them...This is probably the best splatter movie I've seen since Braindead, which incidentally was also shot in New Zealand. In addition to the cool and low-key special effects the movie is full of hilarious scenes and funny lines. Especially the dialogs between Henry and Experience, the environmental activists, are laugh out loud funny. "

"In my book, there's nothing wrong with this movie. It's a real gore-fest and the special effects are a real treat for the eyes. "

"Just for the record, besides the cheezy clay diseased monkey, this movie's great. The scene at the party with the lawnmower, awesome. The scene with the tae-kwan-do preist, great. The zombies screwin', still the only scene of it's kind on film. Yeah,it's a B or maybe even a D movie, I like it. "

"Years ago, a local film critic (living in the Dallas-Ft. Worth Metroplex) dismissed Crimes of Passion by saying, “Why doesn’t Ken Russell just go back to England?” as if this were a legitimate, professional reaction to any film. You just couldn’t help the feeling that she didn’t get it. “It” not being the film itself. It was awful but I don’t think it’s ever okay to pan a film because one’s sensibilities are offended. Or ravaged. Ironically I find myself in a similar situation after viewing Spike and Mike’s Sick and Twisted Festival of Animation. Call it Karmic Justice. I repeatedly wondered if I’d viewed this collection, say, 25 years ago, if I’d have been rolling in the proverbial aisles. Though I’d like to think I’m smarter today. From The Grand Guignol Theatre of 19th Century Paris, to Peter Jackson’s Dead Alive to the Mr. Creosote sketch in

"I actually own the original version of this movie which was titled Braindead. This version has a lot cut out of it, especially at the end during the lawnmower scenes. This is not your run of the mill gore movie. It's laced with dark, goofy humor. It is hilarious and brutally gorey. "

"Hello everybody! I'm R. P. Vermillion Jr., owner and operator of http://www.bloodgutsandgore.co m, a site concerned only with the most disturbing, bloodiest, sickest, weirdest stuff on film, so far over 360 films broken down by gore content, scene by scene, with timestamps to the second. Of all 360 of those flicks so far listed, this is the A #1, all-around, world-class, take-the-cake goriest movie ever made, never likely to be topped...ever. "
