Synopsis
As the director/producer of over 100 fitness videos, Cal Pozo offers a wealth of teaching experience. Learn to Dance in Minutes: Party Dancing finds Pozo applying his patented three-step method to popular moves. The 40-minute video contains a bevy of information on a multitude of dances including the foxtrot, waltz, jitterbug, polka, mambo, and cha-cha. He begins the quick-paced lessons by showing the pattern of the dance. Then, Pozo offers a rendition from the learner's point of view. In the third segment, he combines both partners and concentrates on polishing the steps. Pozo gives slightly more attention to the male side, with clearly diagrammed footprints and demonstrations. The Cuban teacher spends only a few minutes on each dance, but manages to squeeze in some extra line dances and the trendy macarena and electric slide. For pointers on some of the best-known styles out there, Cal Pozo's method is a dependable tool. ~ Sarah Ing, All Movie Guide
