"A wonderfully subtle, beautiful european film about obsession and love. Notable for its haunting soundtrack, iconic poster, and the are-they, aren't they opening scene (where Beatrice Dalle and real-life boyf Jean-Hughes Anglade make love on the porch), this was a film I saw at the tender age of 14, and shaped the way I thought about relationships. The landscape is fantastically evocative, and the film's reputation as a sex film is insulting to the sensitive and well-handled subject matter. Franch classic. " [More]
